Message I have gotten tons of good information not only from search but from the experts here on the forum. Sometimes you guys are brutal, but still effective.

The latest issue with my Z has turned up Rod Knock. I have checked the compression in all of my cylinders, and in all 6 cylinders I am at ~180 or so, very even. I drained my oil and there is absolutely no metal in my oil. I sifted through it with a fine strainer and also used a magnet, nothing. I think that is a good sign, hopefully that means my crankshaft isn't messed up.

I know its an NA motor, but this car is my baby. I can't afford to do a TT conversion right now, and maybe I'll never do that (I'd rather just buy a TT). My NA has been so much fun to drive anyway, when it did run a couple (literally) of years ago, haha.

My question is: What would you guys do? If I rebuild the lower end, what would you replace since the motor is out? I am going to plan on buying a hoist and pulling the motor. Everything else with the motor seems good.
